Our Vacation to Florida

We finally made it on a vacation together! Our first since Kade was born and it was a great time. Grandma Marcia took Kade out with Grandma Pat a few days earlier and met up with us in Jacksonville. Chad and Stephanie got us a hotel that was right on the beach, it was so close. The first few days though it rained and rained but for Brock and I it was great because we dont normally get to see much rain. We spent a ton of time out there in the rain anyway. Brock's newest sport, now known as PBB (Professional Body Boarding) consumed his time. The ocean was so warm so even though the weather was raining and windy it was a ton of fun. I even ventured out there a few times, I could not believe how strong the waves were!This is me sitting out in the pouring rain on the deck. I was so cold but couldnt get enough of the view, plus we had some planning to do...you'll see why...

So awhile ago Chad told us he had been planning to propose to his girlfriend Stephanie during this weekend, which btw was the celebration party for her medical school graduation (yea steph!) He told us his plan to propose to her on the beach so we helped him put it all together, it was so beautiful and lucky too because the only time the rain let up that whole day was the 40 minutes or so it took us to get it ready and for him to propose. It was so cute, he told her he wanted to get away from all the people adn they should take a walk down the beach. Brock and Seve built a big heart in the sand and put up tiki torches and then the ring went on some roses in the middle of the heart. Brock and Seve hid out in the brush above the heart to watch over the ring ready to pounce if anyone came anywhere near it. Obviously Stephanie said yes and i came up behind to take pictures. They both looked very happy and brock and seve didnt have to kill any potential ring snatchers. As was well. One of the things stephanie said when she was asked at what point she realized it was for her, she said, "oh my god, stuff like this doesnt happen to me!" So we get to welcome our new sister into the family!

Kade loved the water and the sand. he played for hours just sticking his hands and feet in the sand and then for awhile Brock got him in his little turtle out in the ocean. There were little minnows in the water where they were sitting. these are our new friends Jessie and Seve and they have a little boy, little Seve who is going to be Kyrstin's future husband. he was such a good boy and adorable as heck. These guys were our roommates during the trip. It was fun to watch little sev take such an interest in baby kade. they were so cute.

Just chillin on the beach the one and last day in florida the sunshine actuallly came out. So what happened? we ALL got sunburned.

This was the pool at the hotel we stayed at. It had a huge waterfall all around the whole pool. it was heated and so gorgous.

One of the nights we were there Me and Brock and Chad and Stephanie and Seve went out to this bar called Lynches, I think. They had a live blues band playing and I got to see the now famous "hand dance" which was fun for all! And finally baby kade playing in the grass and Stephanie's parents house during her graduation party. he was having a blast out there.
