While my sister was here in las vegas house sitting for us, she decided to take all the kids to the Mirage to the dolphin exhibit and to see Siegfried and Roys Tigers and Lions. the girls had a fun time, in fact wore themselves out to the point of sheer exhaustion. I took this pic about 2 minutes after the kids got seated in the car. They were so funny because right before were saying how they werent at all tired and they were not going to take a nap, thank you very much!

Kaylie's favorite activity lately has been coloring in her coloring books. This girl could color all day if I let her. She has a ton of coloring books and asked me to be sure to let you all know that the picture she is coloring is of Tiger and Pooh's friend, Darby. She has also been working very hard on learning to right her letters so she can write her own name.

As many of you know, Kade has started crawling and you can find him crawling all over the entire house. So I had the bright idea that maybe so I wouldnt have to constantly chase him around and bring him back to the living room, i would just put him in his car. Well not only can he navigate this car on the carpet AND the rugs but he has discovered he can also get into the shelves in the refridgerator. I dont know how I am ever going to keep up with this tank.
How have the girls adjusted to Kades newfound mobility? Well they hide their toys from him and are constantly convinced he is coming to steal something from them. the other day kaylie pushed him (in his car) into the wall and when i asked her why she thought it was okay to push her brother, she said to brock, "Kade was going to steal my food!!!"

On an entirely different note, Marcia stopped by yesterday to give Kade a trim, not quite a hair cut but the first time we've ever taken scissors to it so i thought i'd take a couple pictures. This process was not very easy considering kade was making touchdowns with his arms the entire time. Go Broncos!

We finally got it trimmed up though since it was growing over his ears. He looked like the time Eric was growing his hair out... ;)

whats wrong with boys having hair long and over their ears. i think it is super cute.
ReplyDeletehaha I will have to pass that on... We're over that stage now!
