Backyard Campout

So when Brock found out the girls had never gone camping, he decided to buy a tent at walmart and a couple sleeping bags (pink camo) and we had a backyard camp out. It was so cute, the girls kept calling the tent, "the big fort" and they were so surprised when we told them we were all sleeping in it for the night. they didnt really know what to expect. To make the experience as authentic as possible, we had a big campfire and got out the little camping out chairs and made smores with them for the first time. At first i let them hold the marshmellows, well that didnt work out too well since they got covered in ash but the girls loved them. Then we told scary ghost stories, well not that scary, more like funny but Kyrstin really loved it and she kept telling the same story i told her over and over again. Here she is telling us about the monster.

Our tent holds six people so we werent too squished. We kept the top cover off so the kids could look out and see the stars. We just had to remember to turn off the sprinkler timer.

Aside from our campout, the girls helped us clean out our scary garage. For anyone that knows us and has seen our garage you would understand. it took us 8 hours to get it all clean but amazingly enough we can fit two cars AND brock's motorcycle inside. After helping with the garage they helped me make cinnimon raisin bread from scratch which was so cute. They did all the kneading. And despite what our good friends Cliff and Diedra think, the bread came out really good. For some crazy reason i really dont understand, they think my bread sucks. Couldnt be because i sent them a loaf that didnt raise as a good prank...Next time i'll have pics of the girls cooking, my camera battery died so i didnt get any.

On a side note, my parents are finally settled in Ft. Collins, Colorado and seem to like it so far, well minus the tornados and all the rain. Hopefully next month they'll be coming to visit for a few days. My mom wants to fly here to see Harry Potter with us when it comes out. haha.
