A bad week.

So as you can see from the title, its been a very tough week. It all started actually a few weeks ago when it started to get really hot in vegas...like right now its 114 F. And we realized our air conditioner isnt pumping out cold air. So our house stays around a nice 90 degrees constantly which is still much cooler than outside but its been sorta miserable. We of course have fans going in about every room. I guess Brock knows someone that might come out and look at it sometime pretty soon.

So then we started to notice the pool start to turn a little green which seems to be pretty common when it reaches a certain temperature. So I go and buy schock and algicide, you're supposed to pour it in and in 24 hours it typically clears up. Well the next day no such luck. and so i go to the pool supply store, gave the dimensions of our pool and asked him what he recommends i do. Well, i had to ask about 5 different times because all he would say is, "well that should have done it" so i keep on, "okay well it didnt work, so what do you, the all knowing pool man, suggest i do? He says well it should have worked, so i told him he was no help at all and walked out. Brock thought acid would be good so we tried it and nothing changed. The next day we realize the pump starts running dry, even though he had just filled it up. So now, a week later, I am waiting for a friend's son that owns his own pool store, to come and look at it and in the meantime it looks like swamp mccrery out there. it stinks! so now we will probably not only have to replace the pump but hire someone to drain the pool and do an acid wash. Not that we wanted to use our pool or anything since the ac is broken and its hotter than hades out here. so you know,

Then we discover, we have a huge huge HUGE infestation of black widow spiders in our yard and garage. We kill 3 plus a day! with kids and dogs this isnt a good thing at all so i go to the store and find some spider spray. I find the largest jug of it i can find and buy it. And it says, "Home defense max: for crickets, spiders, carpet beetles, earwigs, firebrats (which to me sound like something out of harry potter), moths and silverfish. And it has a picture of a dead ant, cochroach and black widow. So brock looks at the fine print and it says, "up to 12 month control blah blah blah for spiders (excluding black widows)! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!?! so we have yet to spray for spiders since i need to go back, return the darn jug of bug killer and buy some that actually works.

In addition, Brock has been working at the shop AND painting everyday and night for the last month without a day off, so while he is working his butt off everything is faling apart and he doesnt have time to take care of any of it.

On a positive note, my dad came out this week to see his dr so it has been super nice to see him. He has helped with the kids and even helped me get all caught up on cleaning the house. Hopefully i'll have more good news for you next time.
