Well, my mom officially moved to Colorado. She and my sister thought it would be a great idea to try to drive there during a storm so when the interstate got closed and they slid on black ice we were able to say "we told you so". anyway they made it safely and mom is setting up house there in ft collins while my dad is here taking care of things on this end. Glad they made it safe and i look forward to visiting them during our next trip to Colorado.

We have been doing yard work all week long and so far we've planted 3 rose bushes, another viney plant thing, and we will be bringing over a large pond plant and a wild bird of paradise this week i hope. Also brock managed to get us a free hot tub so hopefully that will be going on the leveled brick outside. Soon he will also start on the 4 level climbing tree fort for the kids. We are also putting a sandbox out there for them that will be shaded so not too hot in the vegas heat. We are starting to feel it now. today is 93 degrees. its nice and warm spring day. Hopefully once we get the pool nice and cleaned out we'll get to play in there too.

Today I took the girls on a little bike ride. My whole thought was we would jsut go around the block which for the girls at the pace they like to ride is at least an hour. you think im exagerating but im not. The barely go faster than stopped. Well i got kade in the stroller and he was all set to go and it literally took ten minutes to get to the sidewalk across the street. The girls kept having to get off their bikes and on again for some reason or another. Then i kept telling them to hurry because hurried on their bikes translates into me walking slowly. We got maybe four houses down the street when they decided theyd had enough. Kyrstin says, "mama, i want to go take a nap". it was ten in the morning! I gotta get these girls some more exersize!

Goals i have for the girls this summer: they each learn how to swim without arm floaties (which will be a relief for me since we have a pool), I'd like to put Kyrstin into dance lessons and Kaylie into something music related. I think she would be very good at an instrument of some kind. we will see.
