A Trip to The Hospital

On Wednesday night, Kaylie was having a little trouble with her athsma so we gave her a breathing treatment. After about an hour we realized it wasnt working well enough and she was having a very hard time breathing. This has happened in the past so I took Kaylie to the emergency room around 9pm where she was given a whole bunch of breathing treatments. It was about 4am when they finally decided she needed to be admitted because her Oxygen saturation wouldnt stay up high enough without suplemental oxygen. She was on breathing treatments all night long and oxygen in between. Brock came the following morning with books, games, and her stuffed monkey and he stayed with us for the duration of her stay. There was a lady that came around called a child life specialist and her job was to bring crafts, coloring or whatever kids wanted to make their stay better. Kaylie was able to tell her she wanted to paint so the pictures are of kaylie when she first started to feel better. She painted two butterflies, a jewelry box, made a foam turkey, a necklace and a very glittery car. These people are lifesavers for kids. We stayed until Friday afternoon and we were given prescriptions for a million meds to help her in the future and we managed to find a really really good lung specialist that was good with Kaylie. On Saturday she was well enough to go to Mike and Marcia's for our Thanksgiving celebration (we had it early because they are going to Minnisota and I have to work on Thanksgiving). As of this morning she is as good as new and the meds are working really well. Thank you all for your calls and your support this week. Thanks to Marcia for taking the kids at the drop of a hat to help us be with Kaylie. We love you all very much!
